Previously used as a nursery containing multiple large glasshouses. The site was situated outside of the development envelope and within designated open countryside adjacent to the conservation area.
Planning was gained at first attempt by Status Homes after a previous failed application and subsequent appeal by another developer. We worked with the Local Authority and Parish Council to deliver a scheme of 9 units consisting of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes all individually designed to meet the needs of and respect the identity of the local area.
We were approached by the landowner after a failed attempt at gaining an outline planning consent. We took on the site and subsequently won an appeal before gaining a full reserved matters consent for a scheme of 7 units. Again, this site lay outside of the development envelope within a village and within designated open countryside.
A site lying outside of the development framework and one where we worked with the Local Authority to take it through the emerging local plan (including a brand new planning policy) to gain an outline and later reserved matters consent for 15 units. On this scheme we consulted the local residents at length and ensured we were able to deliver additional benefits that they proposed.
